The first fall foliage is glowing in pretty colors outside our kitchen window. It was a sunny morning, and then, suddenly, black clouds raced accross the sky and brought thunder, lightening, and heavy rain. I thought it would be the perfect afternoon to bake cookies, but, wouldn't you know it, I ended up napping instead.
First picture - I was honestly about to come on your blog and say 'hey! those are my dogs how did you get their picture'! So cute :)
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing all your wonderful views, they brighten my day!
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful area. Enjoy these days and naps sound like a good idea. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see your fall pictures. It is not something we see this far south.
ReplyDeleteLove your canines too.
Love and hugs to you ~ FlowerLady
It looks so different from what I see when I look out my window, autumn still seems far removed here. I loved the thunderstorm, it chased away that hot humid air which reminded me of the sweltering summers back in Washington DC.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for taking naps. You'll remember them gratefully and fondly.
Wise woman, taking a nap while you can:)
ReplyDeleteSeems strange that you are starting to experience Autumn as we are thankful that winter is over and spring is here in all it's beauty.
Thank you for your beautiful photos and inspiring writing.
Lovely pictures! The weather yesterday did seem to inspire one to bake... my brother called me with a question about flour types, which lead to my friend and I baking cookies a few minutes later :-) Her four-month-old watched us as we mixed the ingredients, a perfect rainy afternoon!
ReplyDeleteOooh their little faces! So cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh even on rainy days your photos are amazing! Bless you and glad you enjoyed your nap!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Rest up dear girl, you'll need your strength...and those two cute little mugs staring out at me. Loved them.
ReplyDeleteOnward and upward (and your photos are stunning)

Ahh, your sweet pups are such little posers. How cute. They should be on a magazine cover!
ReplyDeleteI'm very jealous of the fall colors (and rain) in your photos. I think the mileage on Mother Nature's wand is spent by the time it reaches Texas. We don't really experience "seasons" here.
