Dream Home nr 3
A charming saltbox home in an amazingly romantic, bucolic setting, with fruit trees and stone fences. This red beauty is in Connecticut. I love all of the windows, and the chimney in the middle. I am sure this home and it's surroundings are enchanting in every season.
If you organised a 'which of these houses would you rather live in?' event, I'd have nooooo idea which one to choose. They're all gorgeous! And something's telling me there are more to come!
ReplyDeleteLove the little stone indian walls too...some of the houses in New England though - my oh my they are HUGE!
ReplyDeleteOh Dawn...these houses just send me to the moon.
ReplyDeleteMy dream of dreams. That's wht I just love New England SO MUCH ! I might be out here in California, but I am pretending I live in Vermont or Maine. In one of those houses.
I got to go to New England a few years ago with my friend, Julie and we visited Sharon at her cottage in Christmas Cove ( yes, you read that right...Christmas Cove, thank you) and when we walked in ...we literally cried. It was late October and her mantle was filled to the brim with pumpkins, gourds and bittersweet. There was a fire in the fireplace and Jeff had gone into town and bought a big bag of lobster and they made us lobster salad.
I will never forget it.....
How is little Kiki doing?
We are thinking about her..and you.
Have a great weekend.
Best,
Kary and Buddy
I want to live in New England, too. We honeymooned in Maine in mid-October and almost stayed.
ReplyDeleteHey Dawn...YES ! Lets go full tilt into FALL...I love it. I can't beleive you live half way around the world....
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about Country Living. I have been passing on it for a while now. But I do LOVE Eddie Ross. I check his blog daily. He totally gets it. He was in San Francisco doing a special for HGTV on HALLOWEEN. Looking forward to that. Some of his stuff on his blog in Halloween world is really super cute !
Just so you know...I made your sausage and bean soup this morning..we are having it tonight... with some sandwhiches..toasted cheese from the bread I made yesterday. That bread was so good if I say so myself....
Glad to hear Kiki is doing well...give her a snuggle from me and Buddy...
more later
Kary
p.s. I am going to Borders Books today to see if I find any Fall magazines :-)
