The Dream House Folder

About two years ago, I decided to take the magazine clippings of houses and home designs which I loved, and to compile them all into what I call my 'Dream House Folder.' Whenever I see a picture which gives me butterflies, and makes me visualize my own family there, I tear it out and tuck into my beloved binder for inspiration and day-dream material.

This house was featured in Country Living and my eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Yowza! Now that's a dream house!

This one is a bit simpler, but also very classic and charming. And since I'm an autumn fanatic, the picture in it's entirety had me fantasizing about dogs and children playing in the fallen leaves while I look on from the kitchen window and bake.

  1. Oh Dawn, we really do share many of the same dreams. I also have a look book for our dream home which I started to make when we got engaged, as I was taking clippings from wedding magazines and thought that I should do the same for our home.

The houses are beautiful, I adore white wood cladding. It is a shame that it is so unusual in England, which means I rarely get to see them, so thanks for sharing :)

  3. I know what you mean, white clapboard is almost non-existant here. Pretty hard to imagine for someone living in New England, I'll bet.
The cherry label is actually a piece of a Susan Branch postcard which I repurposed. She has a cute little postcard booklet available on Amazon.
Thanks as always for stopping by, always love reading your comments! xo Dawn
